CAL-Italia is a mobile wood-fired pizza company that aims to bring the authenticity back to the pizza experience. With a mobile wood-fired oven, we are able to cook pizza on-site almost anywhere. Specializing in catering and events, we strive to provide the highest quality pizza, while in the comfort of your own setting.

Authentic Italian pizza is cooked in a wood fired oven and served piping hot.
WHO WE ARE
Encinitas native and owner/operator, Chase Burke, could never find a good, consistent, spot to get a traditional pizza. Instead of settling for mediocrity, he tackled this problem head on. With several years of pizza making experience already under his belt from his college years, Chase set his sights on the Italian Culinary Institute, just outside of Asti in Northern Italy. After earning the official title of Pizzaiolo, CAL-Italia was born. Where the rolling vineyards of Tuscany meats the salty pacific air, CAL-Italia is a combination of the Californian roots and European food cultures that have surrounded Chase throughout his life - and his pizza reflects these unique backgrounds

MOBILE PIZZA OVEN

An Italian Wood Fired Oven on Wheels. This mobile oven is perfect for catering and private events. It is equipped with a Pavesi traditional wood fired oven imported from Modena, Italy. It has a capacity of baking over 80 pizzas/hour at peak production, with a pre-heat time of approximately 1 hour. The mobile pizza oven is built for the rugged durability needed on the road and in outdoor use.
